Overage charges


Downpay processed sales beyond the limit included in your plan will be billed at the rates below:

Billing & Payments


Will my current plan be affected by the new plans?

If you’re on the legacy plan, you have the choice of opting into a new plan at any time from the in app Downpay settings page. Our new Pro and Scale plans offer larger discounts than the legacy plan.


How will I know if I’m charged overages?

We’ll notify you via email if you've reached the usage limit so you can choose to continue with charges or upgrade your plan.


Can I change plans at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan from the app settings at any time.


What happens if I upgrade or downgrade mid-billing cycle?

The new plan you’ve selected will take effect on your next billing cycle. For the remainder of your current billing cycle, you will have access to all the new features and overages will be charged based on the new plan’s limit.


Are taxes included in the listed prices?

No. Applicable taxes based on jurisdiction are not included.


How do I cancel my plan?

If you no longer want to use Downpay, you can simply uninstall the app from your Shopify store in order to cancel your subscription.

Why are some features only available on higher-tier plans?

Some advanced features are designed for high-volume merchants or Shopify Plus stores.


How do I know which plan is right for me?

Use our in-app plan selector or refer to the plan comparison on our pricing page to see which features and volume limits suit your store.


Is there a trial available?

Yes. New stores can start with a 7-day free trial to test any plan. One trial per store only.


Can I try premium features before committing to a higher plan?

Yes. During your trial, you’ll have access to premium features based on the selected plan.


Usage Limits


What happens if I hit my transaction or GMV limit?

You’ll be notified and may incur overage charges, or be prompted to upgrade your plan.


Can I exceed the usage cap if I’m okay with the overage fees?

Yes, but you may get better value from upgrading to a higher plan.


Are usage limits based on calendar months or billing cycles?

Usage is tracked by your store’s billing cycle.

How do I change my plan?

Go to the Downpay app in your Shopify admin and navigate to the Billing section.


Where can I view my current usage?

You can monitor your usage in the Billing dashboard inside the Downpay app.


Can I pause my plan or temporarily downgrade?

You can downgrade your plan anytime, but pausing will require you to reach out to our support team..


What happens if I uninstall and reinstall Downpay—will I lose my plan?

Yes. Billing is cancelled if you uninstall Downpay and will start fresh again on reinstall.
