This article will help you get started quickly with Downpay!


It includes the minimum required steps to get up and running:


  1. Check your payment gateway is compatible
  2. Add Downpay in your theme
  3. Create a purchase option

Check your payment gateway is compatible


Downpay supports partial payment for select payment gateways including Shopify Payments, Stripe, and Paypal Express. Merchants on the Shopify Plus plan can also use Ayden.


Refer to Enable a supported payment gateway to enable one of these gateways.


You must have enabled one of these gateways to proceed with setup.

Add Downpay in your theme


Once complete, your storefront will display the following Downpay content blocks for products with purchase options applied.

Create a purchase option


Purchase options add ways for your customers to pay for products beyond the standard option of "pay now".
