How to navigate to settings



Navigate to theme settings



Downpay theme settings are in a theme's settings. To open a theme's settings:

Click "Online Store" in your Shopify admin's main navigation
Click "Customize" on the theme you wish to edit



Downpay theme settings are set independently for each theme

Navigate to cart settings



To open Downpay's cart settings:

Navigate to theme settings
Click on the "App Embed" icon
Click on "Downpay Cart"



Navigate to product block settings



Product block settings exist in 2.0 Themes

To open Downpay's product block settings:

Navigate to theme settings
Navigate to a product page by either
selecting the template you are using from the dropdown menu at the top of the editor.
clicking to a product in the website preview
Click on the Downpay block



Navigate to product embed setting



Product embeds settings exist in Vintage Themes

To open Downpay's product embed settings:

Navigate to theme settings
Click on the "App Embed" icon
Click on "Downpay Cart"

Cart Settings



Show currency code


This setting determines if the currency code is included on the totals presented by Downpay.



Amount due today


This setting can be used to change the text of "Amount due today". If the setting is left blank, the text will remain "Amount due today".



Amount due later


This setting can be used to change the text of "Amount due today". If the setting is left blank, the text will remain "Amount due today".



HTML element to insert relative to


This setting can be used to move the amount due totals to a different spot on your cart page.

For many popular themes you can leave this blank, and we will automatically pick the placement.

Some less popular and custom themes may require you to specify this setting.

Modify placement by specifying a nearby unique element id or class. The format of element ids is #id, and the format for classes are .class



Insert position


Insert position works with the "HTML element to insert relative to" setting to specify the placement of the amount due totals.



Custom CSS (cart)


This setting can be used to apply css styles to the Downpay cart embed.

Product page settings



Show outline box


This settings adds a box around the purchase options.



Section Header


This setting determines the label of the purchase option section. The label will be "Purchase Options" if the field is left blank.




Deposit option label


This setting determines the wording after the deposit option amount. The label will be "deposit" if the field is left blank.



Full pay option label


This setting determines the wording the full pay option. The label will be "Pay in full" if the field is left blank.



Show payment options


Product block only


Show help text


This setting determines if and when help text is displayed.



Customer help text


This setting determines the content of the help text.



Show release date


This setting determines if and when the release date is shown.



Release date text


This setting determines the text that comes before the release date.



'Add to Cart' button label


This setting determines the text in the 'Add to Cart' button, when a product contains a deposit purchase option. Leave blank to use the default for your store.



HTML element to insert relative to


This setting only exists in the product embed setting on Vintage Themes

This setting can be used to move the purchase options to a different spot on your product page.
