Overview of the Integration

The Crowdfunder and Downpay integration enables merchants to take deposits or defer payment for crowdfunding campaigns run on Shopify. This setup is ideal for businesses who want to gauge demand for a product they are manufacturing while also giving customers more payment flexibility versus charging upfront.

An example of how to use Crowdfunder and Downpay together would be offering a product with a 30% deposit upfront to gauge demand and only charge for the product when the goal of the campaign is met.
