The Problem
Customers routinely need to make changes to their orders. There are many different scenarios: a product size or color, quantity changes, adding extra items, changing their shipping address or shipping method, and so on. This was all largely on the merchant to perform. At Downpay we see this frequently. Customers are ordering items like fine jewelry or custom-made furniture that can take many weeks to craft. This increases the likelihood of changes needing to be made.
Historically this has been problematic, especially for orders that contained items with deposits or downpayments. Workarounds were complex and cumbersome. Even though Shopify recently allowed order editing on such carts, there are still many things that can’t be done. Enter self-serve order editing with Cleverific.
