# Installing Downpay from the Shopify App Store

You will need to install Downpay from the Shopify app store to get started with Downpay.

# Install Downpay from the Shopify App Store

Follow these steps to install Downpay to your Shopify store:

1. Visit the Downpay listing on the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/downpay). 

2. Click "Install"

_You will be redirected to your Shopify admin._

3. Read [Downpay's permissions](#1-permissions) and pricing.

4. Click "Install App".

# Permissions

Below are our required permissions and the reasons why they are required:

| Permission | Why? |
| --- | --- |
| Write Customers | Allows to customers change the payment method on file or cancel an order. |
| Read/Write Orders | Keeps track of orders which were processed using a Downpay. |
| Read fulfillments | Enables order management features. |
| Read/Write Products | Enables Downpay to see the store's products, and enable modifications required for displaying purchase options. |
| Write Purchase Options | Enables Downpay to create purchase options. |
| Read Payment Terms | Enables management of order workflows. |
| Read/Write Payment Mandates | Issues charges to the customer's payment method after initial checkout. |
| Read Themes | Detects support for app blocks on storefront. |
| Read Locales | Determines the localized experience for your region. |
| Write draft orders | Enables experiences focused on draft orders. |
| Read Shopify Payment Accounts | Checks compatibility with your payment gateway. |
| Read Reports | Collects data on how our product is performing for your store. |
| Write Inventory | Enables placing stock limits on pre orders. | 
| Storefront Permissions| Provides integrated theme experiences with Downpay. |
